Complete this task to create a VM to Hosts rule for TKG Service cluster control plane nodes.

For each TKG Service cluster, create a VM to Hosts rule that binds the control plane VM Group to either the site 1 or site 2 Host Group.

Note: Repeat this procedure for each TKG Service cluster you provision in the vSAN stretched cluster topology.

  1. In vCenter Server, select the vSphere Cluster object where Supervisor is enabled.
  2. Select Configure > Configuration > VM/Host Rules > Add.
  3. Configure the VM to Hosts rule for the cluster control plane VMs.
    1. Name: Enter a name for the VM/Host rule, such as: tkgs-cluster1-cp-rule
    2. Enable rule: Yes (checked)
    3. Type: Select Virtual Machines to Hosts from the menu
    4. VM Group: Select the cluster control plane VM group and select Should run on hosts in group.
    5. Host Group: select either site Host Group, such as site1-HostGroup
    6. Click OK
