Complete this task to create two VM Groups for hosting TKG Service cluster worker node VMs.
Create two VM Groups. In one group you add half of all worker node VMs deployed in the vSAN stretched cluster environment. In the other half you add the remaining half of all worker node VMs deployed in the vSAN stretched cluster environment. Add the VMs in a round-robin fashion so that all worker nodes from the same cluster, and all worker nodes from the same node pool, are not members of the same VM Group.

Complete the following prerequisite tasks:
Procedure
- In vCenter Server, select the vSphere Cluster object where Supervisor is enabled.
- Select .
- Configure the first VM Group for the cluster worker node VMs.
- Name: Enter the name for the VM Group, such as:
tkgs-workers1-VmGroup
- Type: Select VM Group from the menu
- Members: Click Add and select half of all TKG Service cluster worker node VMs.
Note: The interface displays up to 15 VMs, in alphabetical order. If you do not see the worker VMs, enter an appropriate string in the filter search field.Note: Be sure to select worker nodes and not control plane nodes. Worker nodes have "worker" in the name.
- Click OK to add the VMs to the group
- Name: Enter the name for the VM Group, such as:
- Configure the second VM Group for the TKG cluster control plane VMs.
- Name: Enter the name for the VM Group, such as:
tkgs-workers2-VmGroup
- Type: Select VM Group from the menu
- Members: Click Add and select the remaining half of all TKG Service cluster worker node VMs
